LRIT - Long Range Identification and Tracking

Conformance Testing for UK, Isle of Man and Bermuda registered vessels.

Ltd have been appointed as an LRIT Authorised Testing Application Service provider for the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), on behalf of the Government of the ISLE OF MAN and on behalf of the BERMUDA MARITIME ADMINISTRATION. This is in accordance with SOLAS V, Regulation 19-1 in compliance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Resolution MSC.263(84) on "Revised performance standards and functional requirements for the long-range identification and tracking of ships" and MSC.1/Circ.1307 "Guidance on the survey and certification of compliance of ships with the requirement to transmit Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) information."

Kilo Marine Electronics Ltd may therefore test shipborne Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) equipment fitted to vessels registered in the UK/IOM/Bermuda and issue Conformance Test Reports (CTRs) as outlined in MSC.1/Circ.1307.

LRIT Conformance Testing prices:
Initial conformance test including issuing CTR     £150
Retest if failing initial test, including issuing CTR   £120

LRIT Conformance tests take up to 48 hours and can be started Monday - Friday.
No shipboard visit is required as all testing is done remotely by satellite.
Following a successful test, CTR's are usually issued and posted within two days of test completion.
